The purpose of this book is to give you, the reader, a glimpse of each country in the world. It can be thought of as a coffee table book, or a children’s book. Each page in the book contains:

  • a small locator map of where the country is on the globe
  • the name of the country in English
  • the names of the country in its native languages (tip: hover your computer mouse over the name to find out what language it is in)
  • a large image of the country (this is the central feature of the page)
  • some basic information about the country, like what its capital city is and what continent it is on
  • a link to the Wikipedia and Wikivoyage articles on the country
  • a “further reading” section After you have looked at the page, click on the link in the upper right hand corner (it will say the name of the next country) and continue on to the next page.

What if I don’t like the image?

If you don’t like the image, you can request that a new image be found. How to do this:

  1. Click the “edit” link in at the top of the page (it’s next to a link the says “read” and one that says “view history”). What you will see will look something like this:
  2. Copy and paste this: |bad_image=yes |bad_image_date= onto the page and put it right above the at the bottom.
  3. Click the “Save page” button You will now have added a notice asking for a new image to the page. If you need help with this you can ask by clicking

You can also provide feedback on the image by clicking on the link near the bottom of the page that says “Rate this image”. This will bring you to a page where you can rate it with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 stars, and comment on it.
